Amber was born and raised in the Southern United States, but has since developed a severe case of wanderlust. She hopes to one day settle in New York City while working as a writer full-time.
When she’s not writing, Amber loves curling up with a good book, going to concerts, and hanging out with Mother Nature. She also enjoys the finer things in life, such as touring museums, attending the theatre and a nice, dark stout.
Amber earned a B.A. in English (with cross-training in Mass Media) from Valdosta State University in 2013. While studying at VSU, she held several positions at the University’s independent student newspaper, The Spectator, working up from a reporter in her first semester to Editor-in-Chief by junior year.
She also spent a semester with VSUTV, a local cable access channel run by the University’s Mass Media department. There she got a taste of various roles including news producer, technical director, director, camera operator, floor director, anchor, broadcast sound technician, and teleprompter operator.
